Forecast

 

-LMD's produced approximately $15,000 for the last weekend of October and we are optimistic that this program will continue to be successful in November and December.

 

-Our new strategies are showing revenue gains.

November is up by 16,000.

We are optimistic that we can make up some of this loss through group tentatives and prospects.   

 

-December 1st forecast is showing us at $28,000 down. We are optimistic that we can turn this loss around as well.

 

-We continue to see the same trends in the second comp .  Their Transient strategies  are dramatically impacting the 1st comp set .  

The 2nd comp set has kept their BAR and Expedia strategies the same. The drop in their Transient ADR’s and growth in occupancy is due to their internal rate programs staying open and being set more aggressively in lower ADR strategies.  

 

Strategies

 

-Continued our discussion on oversells needing to be much more aggressive in the 4th Q. We are looking at setting the majority of the potential sell out dates at -20 and maintaining up to -5 up to the date prior. Arrivals will have impacts on these strategies as well and we will be viewing arrival reports to set the oversells.

-We disused the OOO rooms that are being looked at for lengths of time for energy and payroll savings. We may have figured out an alternative method through Housekeeping Status that could allow us to set up a much more efficient procedure that would not impact EZ RMS forecasting.

-John is going to look into Synexis to analyze consortia. We need to see if our percentage off changes have impacted bookings.

 

Follow up

-Reevaluate the Parade of Lights weekend.

-The Houston and Dallas Expedia market managers have contacted me about running a special 2009 advance purchase promo to put some extra base in Q1 2009.  I haven’t heard anything from Josh yet, so I don’t know if they are even doing it here, but we could always do one on our own if we want – here is an example of the deal I made with Kelly Pixler for Houston.
